*This study analyzes the implementation of GIs in Maués guaraná, addressing IP for family producers and the DO for the Andirá-Marau Indigenous Land. Based on bibliographic research, the results show that GIs add value to guaraná in the Amazon region, but face challenges such as a lack of social capital and low consumer awareness. Com base em pesquisa bibliográfica, os resultados mostram que as IGs valorizam o guaraná na Amazônia, mas enfrentam desafios como falta de capital social e baixa conscientização do consumidor.
