*Politeknik Negeri Bengkalis (Polbeng) uses the Computer Based Test (CBT) program to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of the new student selection process. It is crucial to assess the application's usability to make sure that users— selection committees and prospective students alike—can utilize it with ease and efficiency. The purpose of this study is to use the System Usability Scale (SUS) approach to examine the usability of the Polbeng new student selection CBT application. We selected the SUS approach for its ease of use and its ability to produce quantifiable, rapid results. We distributed SUS questionnaires to 498 prospective new students and selection committee members who had participated in the CBT program to collect data. The analysis's findings revealed that the Polbeng CBT application's SUS score was 73.01, falling into the Good category. Despite the program's generally positive reception, it still requires development in certain areas such as responsiveness and ease of use. We make recommendations to improve the application's quality based on user input, aiming to boost user satisfaction and its usefulness in Polbeng's new student selection process.
