*In the era of remote work, distributed teams face unique cybersecurity challenges that can compromise sensitive information and organizational integrity. Increasing awareness and preparedness among team members is essential to mitigate these risks. This paper aims to develop a cybersecurity awareness model specifically designed for distributed teams, focusing on identifying success factors and proposing effective solutions. We conducted a comprehensive literature review and analyzed common vulnerabilities associated with distributed work environments. Through investigation of cybersecurity literature, we identified the key elements that contribute to successful cybersecurity awareness initiatives. The study identifies critical success factors, including: "Unified Governance Framework," "Empowering Excellence in Teams," "Empowerment Through Transparency," "Shared Knowledge Initiative," "Secure Mind Initiative," and so on. We propose several solutions, such as: "To encourage open communication," "innovation and trust & respect," "Use effective channels for daily updates and activities in distributed projects," "Use advanced and common communication infrastructure among the GSD sites," "Create teams with complementary skills and cultures," "To train the development and operations teams to share their knowledge and best practices," and so on. Implementing a proactive cybersecurity awareness model can significantly enhance the security posture of distributed teams. By addressing the unique challenges they face, organizations can empower their members to recognize and respond to potential threats effectively. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]*
